Let's head to the land down under to highlight our March Bean Of The Month!
John and Malie, originally from Sydney Australia have a beautiful Baby named Lumi, nicknamed "little dumpling". Lumi is currently 5 weeks old and has already travelled to many parts of the world with her parents and tried unique cuisines, what a lucky baby she is!
Read on to find out more about John and Malie's new life with gorgeous Lumi.
TWB: What is your baby's name and age?
@mallie.moments: Lumi, she is currently 5 weeks old
TWB: Where are you from and can you tell us a little bit more about your family?
@mallie.moments:Our names are John and Malie and we are from Sydney Australia. We have been together for 11 years and Lumi is our first little dumpling. We call her our little dumpling as we absolutely love food especially Dim Sum (or Yum Cha). As a couple we love to travel the world and try to eat all different cuisines. We love to create videos and even had a youtube channel to document our travels. We look forward to taking our little Dumpling travelling and introducing her to all new foods.
TWB: What is your favourite product from The Wee Bean and why?
@mallie.moments: We love all the designs and prints especially since they are Asian food themed; our favourite design is the Dim Sum collection. The swaddles are excellent as they are super soft and breathable from organic cotton perfect for the Australian weather and can also be used as a light blanket.
TWB: What are your must-have items that you would recommend for first time moms?
@mallie.moments:A few good swaddles, including The Wee Bean Organic Cotton Swaddles and Love to Dream Swaddles. You can never have too many bibs and burp cloths around the house.
TWB: What is your favourite activity with your baby?
@mallie.moments: As a newborn, we love to do tummy time together and read books. We love seeing her face brighten up when she recognises our voices.
TWB: What are the most baby-friendly places to go in your city?
@mallie.moments:We haven’t had a chance to explore around our city yet as she is still quite young but we would love to take her to Sydney Aquarium, Toronga Zoo and of course Yum cha for dumplings
TWB: Your best tip/advice on motherhood
@mallie.moments: There is so much information out there on motherhood it can be overwhelming however in the end trust your instincts. Also make sure you take some time for self-care and look after yourself. It can be easy to focus on your little one 24/7 but it can also be very draining. By having some time to yourself lets you recharge and so you can continue to be the best mother.
