    Our September Bean of the Month comes all the way from sunny California! Baby K is almost 8 months old and already learning about a healthy and active lifestyle from his mommy Shannon (@caligirlgetsfit). Read on to find out more about how they like to spend their time in beautiful Northern California!

    TWB: Can you give us a brief intro about your family and where you are from?
    @caligirlgetsfit: I’m born and raised in Northern California, where Baby K and I live! I currently work at an architecture firm, and have also been a health/nutrition blogger for the past 2 years! Having Baby K was the happiest time of my life, and I’m happy to have the flexibility to work from home so I can spend every day with him. 
    TWB: What The Wee Bean items did you buy/get gifted and how do you like our products?
    @caligirlgetsfit: We love the organic cotton bibs. Baby K drools a ton now that he’s teething and these bibs are so adorable and soft! He wears one every day!

    TWB: What items do you recommend for first-time moms?
    @caligirlgetsfit:  We love our baby carrier. I would recommend baby-wearing because it keeps baby close to you, especially during the newborn time! It also lets you have your hands free!
    TWB: What's your favourite activity to do with your baby? 
    @caligirlgetsfit:  Mealtime is my favorite! I love watching him try new foods. It’s fun to learn more about his likes and dislikes and see him grow in his coordination and dexterity, like being able to grab food and his own spoon!

    TWB: Best baby-friendly places to go to in your city? 
    @caligirlgetsfit:  We love hiking! Northern California has a ton of beautiful nature hikes through the redwoods that are fun to explore.

    TWB    :      What's one tip you have for all the new mommies/daddies out there?
    @caligirlgetsfit: Your baby doesn’t care if you are wearing makeup, lost all of the baby weight, or are wearing old sweatpants; your baby loves everything about you. So pose for all the pictures, remember that you are beautiful and created a life, and cherish each moment because they pass by so quickly!
