In the vibrant heart of Sydney, a heartwarming story unfolds as we introduce you to Atlas, a charming 6-month-old, our October Bean of the Month! With loving parents who both call this dynamic city home, along with their two furry friends, this family's journey has become wonderfully busier and more enchanting than ever. Adding a sweet twist to the tale, Mommy Cordelia, who is a baker known for her delectable cakes, has not only satisfied our sweet tooth but also graced us with her lovely little one, Atlas!
Thank you, Mommy Cordelia (@cordyscakes), for not only delighting our taste buds but also for sharing your invaluable parenting tips. Meet the beautiful family of little Atlas Bean!
TWB: What is your baby's name and age?
@cordyscakes: Atlas is 6 months old.
TWB: Where are you from, and can you tell us a little bit more about your family?
@cordyscakes: My husband and I are both from Sydney. We live with our two dogs and just welcomed our first baby into the family! Our lives have definitely gotten a whole lot busier.
TWB: What is your favourite product from The Wee Bean, and why?
@cordyscakes: I'm totally into The Wee Bean's organic cotton bandana bibs. They're super soft, great quality, and the designs are just too cute. Plus, the ones with milk tea and egg tarts take me back to my Hong Kong days, which is pretty special to me.
TWB: What are your must-have items that you would recommend for first-time moms?
@cordyscakes: Here are my top recommendations for first-time moms: For moms, the Haakaa silicone breast pump is a valuable tool for collecting letdown, and I rely on my Medela Swing Maxi double electric breast pump every day. When it comes to late-night or early morning formula feeds, the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep machine is a true lifesaver, saving me a lot of time.
TWB: What is your favourite activity with your baby?
@cordyscakes: My favorite thing to do with Atlas is to give him a baby massage as part of his bedtime routine. It's a nice way for us to bond, plus it really helps to calm him down and make him relax, especially after all the tummy time and rolling he's been doing throughout the day.
TWB: What are the most baby-friendly places to go in your city?
@cordyscakes: Taronga Zoo and SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium are great places for family outings. Babies will be fascinated by the animals, marine life, and interactive displays. I can't wait to bring Atlas there.
TWB: After a long day, what’s your favourite way to unwind?
@cordyscakes: After a long day looking after Atlas, I like to keep it chill. I catch up on the news to stay in the loop, and sometimes I'll binge-watch a Netflix show for a bit of entertainment. Lately, I've gotten back into using face masks, which gives me that self-care vibe.

TWB: What's your best tip/ advice on motherhood?
@cordyscakes: One of the best tips for motherhood is to trust your instincts and take care of yourself too. Every baby is unique, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting. Listen to your intuition, be patient with yourself, and don't hesitate to seek support when you need it. Parenthood is a learning journey, and it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them. Just remember, you are already doing an amazing job.
*Bean of the Month Series* - Every month, we select a baby to feature as our Bean of the Month and this special little Bean will receive a prize of HK$50 off their next purchase.
