This month's submission comes from Margaret (@margaretlowong)
via Instagram, whose baby boy Markus Elias Wong is just about 2 months old. We reached out to this new mother of two (she has an older daughter!) to see how she's handling a newborn and a toddler during these unprecedented times.
TWB: Can you give us a brief intro about your family and where you are from?
margaretlowong: I currently live in Vancouver, Canada with my husband and two children.
TWB: What The Wee Bean items did you buy/get gifted and how do you like our products?
@margaretlowong: I bought 2 swaddles (Dimsum, Boba) as well as a Milestone Blanket (Dimsum). The swaddles are super soft to the touch and especially with the cute designs, Mommy and baby love them! I also received a Wee Bean Rattle Doll as a gift and Markus loves it!
TWB: What items do you recommend for first-time moms?
@margaretlowong: I would absolutely recommend organic swaddles. Since they are made from organic bamboo material and it's hypoallergenic, it's perfect for babies with sensitive skin. Also, the swaddles are super versatile. They can be used as a burping blanket, stroller cover, shopping cart cover, and even a light blanket for your little one!
TWB: What's your favorite activity to do with your baby?
Tummy time! I love singing to him and making funny noises to engage him in hand-eye coordination.
TWB: Best baby-friendly places to go to in your city?
@margaretlowong: We love going to the library where we can spend some quiet time picking out some books, attend information sessions at my local community center where other new moms can share knowledge and just be able to talk, and picnic in the park with other moms!
TWB: What's one tip you have for all the new mommies/daddies out there?
@margaretlowong: The first few months as a new parent will be very tough especially with the sleepless nights but it does get better! Remember to enjoy every moment and take lots of photos because they grow up in a blink of an eye. I love being a mom and the love and joy that I get from my babies give me a whole other perspective of why I wake up with a smile every day! Also, having a good support network is very important for a new mom. Try signing up for courses and classes for your partner and your newborn so you can make some new friends and share your experiences. The things you worry about so much may end up happening to all new parents and it is very normal.
Thanks again to Margaret and her family for sharing her experiences and these super cute images with our community!
