Bean Of The Month - August 2023

At 9 months young, she's already spreading her charm far and wide. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Queens, NYC, this family radiates warmth and diversity. Mom's Puerto Rican roots and dad's Taiwanese heritage create a beautiful blend that mirrors the rich tapestry of their city.

TWB:What is your baby's name and age?

@cval13:Olivia Jade. She is 9 months old.

TWB: Where are you from and can you tell us a little bit more about your family

@cval13: We live in Queens, NYC with our rescue pup, Rusty. Mom is Puerto Rican and dad is Taiwanese. 

TWB: What is your favourite product from The Wee Bean and why?

@cval13: We love the organic onesies because they are so soft and stretchy. So perfectly comfortable for a baby who is always on the move these days!

TWB: What are your must-have items that you would recommend for first time moms?

@cval13: Especially at the beginning, I recommend the swaddles! She loved being swaddled when she was smaller and now that she’s bigger the blankets are cozy and lightweight for all temperatures.

TWB: What is your favourite activity to do with your baby?

@cval13: We love to go to baby music class and take walks 

TWB: What are the most baby-friendly places to go in your city?

@cval13: Some baby-friendly places are botanic gardens and the aquarium. 

TWB: After a long day, what’s your favourite way to unwind?

@cval13: Favorite way to unwind is to get cozy with our pup and some snacks.

TWB: What's your best tip/advice on motherhood?

@cval13: Best advice is a hard one to think of - always be flexible as plans with a baby can change at any last second. And savour every little moment because even though sometimes it may seem exhausting, everything is so temporary- both the difficult and the amazing moments. Time really does fly. Becoming a mother has taught me to slow down to enjoy smaller moments. Definitely a change in the pace of my days, but sometimes having no expectations or plans is the best thing. I appreciate different things.
