Bean Of The Month - April 2023

We are thrilled to introduce our April Bean Of The Month - Baby Galia! This  adorable 3-month-old baby hails from a diverse family with a Hong Kong Chinese mommy and a South African daddy. The family resides in the beautiful city of Singapore, where they enjoy exploring and discovering baby-friendly places.

In this feature, Mommy Viv (@pieceofcakehk) shares her must-have items for first-time moms, her favorite activities with her baby, and her best advice on motherhood. Thank you Mommy Viv for sharing these tips!

TWB: Where are you from and can you tell us a little bit more about your family?

 

@pieceofcakehk: My husband Sheldyn is from South Africa, and I’m from Hong Kong. Our first born, Eliana, is 4 years old. Our second daughter, Galia is 3 months old. We love to travel and have just relocated to Singapore from Hong Kong last year.

 

TWB: What is your favourite product from The Wee Bean and why?

@pieceofcakehk: The swaddle! It’s so cute, soft, and nice. Everything else is great too, the mask was the only mask our firstborn would wear for a long time.

TWB: What are your must-have items that you would recommend for first-time moms?

@pieceofcakehk: The mamajoo sterilizer, Medela symphony pump, the hands-free pumping bra and a good confinement lady!!

TWB: What is your favourite activity with your baby?

@pieceofcakehk: Taking walks with her in her baby carrier.

TWB: What are the most baby-friendly places to go in your city?

@pieceofcakehk: Children’s Garden in Gardens By The Bay with the water park and changing rooms. Marina Bay Sands is just around the corner with restaurants and well-equipped nursing rooms. 

TWB: After a long day, what’s your favourite way to unwind?

@pieceofcakehk: Snuggling with my girls!

TWB: Your best tip/advice on motherhood?

@pieceofcakehk: The days are long but the years are short. Enjoy the little moments of being a mother and don’t get overly stressed by the little details. Kids aren’t going to remember the fancy perfect educational toy you bought, but they are going to remember the feeling of you being there with them and them being loved and cared for when they were little. :)
